So, we want to make sure everyone who walks through our doors & is part of our community is safe. To do that, we need everyone on the same page by reading through our expectations & policies.
Please read the following policies carefully, and feel free to reach out to contact us with any questions.
Our goal is to foster a positive learning environment filled with creativity & collaborative fun for both our students & parents. You & your child agree to treat all participants of Art Centric Studio programs with kindness & respect.
We love to have fun & get messy! Every time your child comes to the studio, you can expect that they will have an intensive, studio-based art-making experience, using materials in a safe and creative manner. Though aprons will be provided, please remember to “dress for mess" as not every product we offer is completely washable.
As a process-based art studio, we use a wide range of materials in our art projects including, but not limited to: paint, glue, pastel, chalk, fiber, wax, glue guns, hammers, & other sharp objects. While we do our best to monitor every child’s use of these materials, accidents may occur from time to time due to the inherent risk of using these materials. You understand that these materials are not meant for consumption & will instruct your child not to consume any materials & to always conduct themselves in a safe & responsible manner.
The safety of your child & other children is our top priority. It’s always appreciated when parents have conversations with their children to reinforce our safety expectations. You acknowledge that your child has no physical, emotional, or social conditions that make it dangerous or unwise for your child to safely participate in our programs. Running inside Art Centric Studio is dangerous for both your child & others around them so your child agrees not to run when participating in Art Centric Studio programs & events.
Currently we are mask-optional at Art Centric Studio.
Please do not bring your child to Art Centric Studio if they are showing any signs of illness including a runny nose, cough, or fever (eye-roll, we know, that’s broad but we’re trusting you to use your best parental judgment). Art Centric Studio reserves the right to deny a sick child participation in our classes.
We ask that each time you drop your child off at Art Centric Studio you will COME INSIDE to CHECK your child IN & OUT. Kids are welcome to come to class 5-10 minutes before start time. Early students will be asked to have a seat on the bench & wait patiently until instructors are ready.
Running late happens, we get it. Lakeland traffic, woof! However, we request that if you are going to be late to pick up your child, please give us a call: (407) 489-0179. There will be a $50 late fee applied if you are more than 15 minutes late.
If your child will be carpooling or picked up by someone else, please go into your Sawyer account & update that information under the “comments” section. We will need a record of this to allow your child to leave with someone other than their parental guardian. It is our #1 goal to keep everyone safe & this process helps us to manage everyone’s safety & whereabouts.
The Art Centric Studio reserves the right to cancel any class at least two hours prior to the start of the class, registered participants will be notified by email, & you will be notified of a future make-up day.
