MRS MELISSA/Owner

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Melissa moved to Florida after graduating high school. Soon after, she married and became a homeschooling stay-at-home mom to three children, all while nurturing her dream of becoming a teacher. Her love for art, especially painting, was always present.
In 2008, Melissa decided to devote more time to painting, turning her passion into a small business with numerous commissions. With over 14 years of experience as an artist, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to our studio. Her dedication to art and inspiring children's creativity has been instrumental in helping the studio thrive. She is excited to merge her two greatest passions—art and teaching—to provide an enriching and enjoyable experience for all our students.

Born and raised in Lakeland, I’ve been going to the studio since the day it opened. I loved being a student and volunteered as soon as I could. Now I am so excited for the opportunity to work here and teach kids the amazing world of art!

Born and raised in Lakeland, I have been coming to the studio since 3rd grade where I did art camps, later I became a volunteer. After volunteering for several years, I officially became an assistant. I really enjoy being around all the creativity of the studio.

My love for art started young, my father is an art professor and my mother always has a creative spirit. I love painting, baking and being creative in every way possible. It brings me so much joy watching the students at Art Centric discover and help further their love for art.
